1 kg. green walnuts
0.7-0.8 kg. sugar
2 cups of water
Soaking solution:
150 g of soda
3 liters of water


1. Cut thinly the top layer of the skin of nuts. (Be careful, if possible, do it with gloves – your fingers will burn).

2. Pour water and soak for 3 days. Change the water twice a day

3. Make a solution of soda with water, put the nuts there and soak for 3 hours.

4. Rinse 3-5 times until clean.

5. Pour water again for a day, changing the water 2 times.

6. In the morning, boil water, throw nuts and boil for 10 minutes. Then drain the water and fill with cold water.

7. In the evening, repeat step # 6, but boil in new water.

8. The next day, cook the syrup, put the nuts in the boiling syrup and cook as usual jam.
